Introduction

Those who have lost all of their teeth or are soon to have their last teeth extracted have several different options for tooth replacement. One of the most advanced and reliable techniques is to permanently attach a denture (or row of teeth) to dental implants that are anchored in the jaw. This procedure is known as All On 4 (or All On Four).

Dental implant-supported teeth look and function just like real teeth, and are maintained with the same oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing. Dental implants for individual teeth can be relatively expensive when replacing all of your top or bottom teeth, but a new, highly advanced procedure called All On 4 allows clients to have functional teeth placed on the same day that their dental implant surgery is performed! You leave with teeth in a day!

What Is All On 4?

Today’s state-of-the-art dental implant procedures enable a minimum number of implants to support a maximum number of teeth. That means as few as four implants can be used to support a full arch (upper or lower jaw) of permanently fixed, non-removable teeth. This remarkable life-changing event can be accomplished in a single day! Clients who need to replace a full upper and/or lower set of teeth can receive our advanced All On 4 procedure.

What is Teeth In A Day?

Teeth In A Day can be a very confusing term. In some cases, it is used to describe the placement of an individual dental implant to replace one missing tooth. Typically a healing period of 4-6 months is required prior to placing the final dental implant crown on the dental implant, however depending on the situation, the dental crown may be placed the same day as the dental implant.

Teeth In A Day is also used to describe the All On Four dental procedure. During this procedure you have the option of having four dental implants placed into your jaw, and on the same day our dentists screw in a healing denture to your dental implants! You leave with non-removable teeth in just one day. After a healing period of 4-6 months, the healing denture is removed and the final, stronger row of teeth are screwed into the dental implants.

Why Should I have All On 4?

The All On Four dental procedure allows you to have teeth that look and function like natural teeth. Traditional dentures are often bulky and ill-fitting. Many clients often complain about their dentures and how they cannot chew or talk properly. With a dental implant supported denture, you don’t have to worry about your denture becoming loose or falling out while eating. It gives you back the security and confidence of a natural smile!

What is the procedure for All On 4?

Traditional approaches to restoring a full arch of teeth usually involved bone grafts, six or more implants, and as many as 18 months of treatment. Clients often would be without any teeth or with ill-fitting temporary dentures for more than a year.

With the All On 4 Dental Implant Procedure, you would have one or two visits to our office to allow our dentist to gather information for a treatment plan (e.g., bone scans, x-rays, impressions, photos). Following this consultation, dental implant surgery is scheduled and the new teeth are fitted and adjusted during the same appointment, even when extractions are necessary! You leave with teeth in just one day!

You will be required to return for occasional check-ups over the next several weeks and months. After almost six months, when the gums have fully healed and the dental implants are fused to the bone, our dentists will prepare your final, stronger, permanent set of teeth adjusted to a perfect fit and bite. This helps ensure the longest life of the teeth, and provide maximum support, beauty, and function for your smile!
