What is the cost of Dental Implants?

One of the biggest questions asked by our clients at Bridgewater Dental Centre is the cost of dental implants. There is much confusion around this topic and it is often difficult to get a concrete answer when inquiring at different dental offices. There are a few main factors to consider when looking at dental implant costs: the dental implant and the dental implant crown (or denture) that replaces the missing tooth (or teeth).

Single Tooth Dental Implants

The dental implant is the artificial root made of titanium that is placed into the jaw bone. After a 4-6 month healing period, a dental implant crown is then screwed into the dental implant to replace the missing tooth. The dental implant cost ranges from $1500-$2000CAD depending on where it is placed within the mouth. The dental implant crown is then an additional $1500-$3000CAD. This price fluctuates depending on the location of the tooth and what material it is made out of. In addition to these costs, dental procedures such as bone or gum grafts may be necessary depending on the situation. The cost for these treatments depends on the unique situation.

Multiple Teeth Dental Implants

If you are missing multiple teeth, or all of your teeth, the cost of dental implants ranges from $1500-$2500CAD. In order to have a dental bridge, snap-on denture, or a permanent row of teeth, a minimum of two dental implants is required. In addition to the dental implant cost, there is another cost associated with the dental bridge, snap-on denture or row of teeth that screw into the dental implants.
